On #WorldStrokeDay in 2019, we launched the #ChangeTheFaceOfStroke campaign with Joe Borges to spread awareness about stroke.
Our mission is to raise funds for nonprofits that support stroke recovery, research and prevention.
We started the #ChangeTheFaceOfStroke campaign to bring more awareness to the diverse range of people affected by stroke and help bring more education to the masses on how to avoid stroke and act FAST if you are experiencing a stroke.
We especially want to bring stroke awareness to BIPOC and marginalized communities who are not largely represented in stroke information pamphlets and literature.
Strokes can happen to anyone at any age and it is our mission to help prevent this from happening through better representation of stroke survivors and more education!
The #ChangeTheFaceOfStroke campaign consists of a series of videos we release with stroke survivors’ photos morphing into each other showing the diversity in survivors.
Our featured nonprofit for the month of December 2021 is Brain & Spine Foundation. Brain & Spine Foundation is an amazing organization that provides free, professionally-staffed neurological services for stroke survivors as well as individuals suffering from other brain injuries and neurological conditions.
